Works fine as a regular water bottle. Easy to hold. Soft and squeezable. However, the insulation doesn't do very much. Maybe it keeps direct sunlight off of your drink and keeps it cooler that way, but doesn't do much vs ordinary water bottle on a hot day. Had a tendency to absorb smells from prior drink or dishwasher soap.Holds cold water for a long period - although I end up drinking it all for my workout. Fairly easy to clean as the nipple can twist off so you can really get it clean. I usually just keep it in the open/drinking position and water does not spill out even if I accidently hit it onto its side.I just got started in working out and my physical trainer told me I need to drink a gallon of water everyday. I carry this water bottle around everywhere and fill it 6 times a day and drink from it. It also fits perfectly in my bike rack and if I want ice cold water, I typically fill the bottle full of ice and it stays cold for the full time I'm at the gym or biking. I have the 24 ounce water bottle.I’m mostly happy with this bottle which is a replacement for a similar one I left on the top of my car…my only complaint is that if you don’t push down on the spigot it will leak if not upright. I use mine when walking dogs and if I forget it leaks down my back when I bend over to pick up the dog doo. My old one only let water out of you squeezed it like you have to do with this oneVery nice water bottles. My kid takes them to school. Can never have enough water bottles…Perfect for mounting on a bike.I cycle in Phx suburbs year round and by 10AM in the summer, temps are exceeding 100F.My bike carries 2 of these sports bottles; stuffed with ice, filled with water, then into the bike cages.The insulation will keep the water cool for up to 2 hours, even when exposed to 100+ temps.I sometimes ride for a couple of hours in sub-freezing temperatures. This bottle is totally up to the task: water stays more/less the temperature it began as. It's most important on winter rides but is kinda nice on the scorching days of summer too. I could also see it working well in the car, in a backpack, and for other non-biking uses. Another key feature: the lid stays on and the plug stays down. This is not a leaker. That is not true of all water bottles (and I would know after decades of riding). The quality here is high in every way. They are perfect for biking and keep your water cool for longer. I like that they’re made in the USA and not china. The quality is much better!I bought 2 cycling water bottles both advertised as insulated. This bottle definitely has more insulation that the other advertised bottle.Purchased for grandson to use canoe tripping with us. Have had mine for 7 + years. I had an issue with the top and Polar Bottle honored the life time warranty. Customer service is the best I have dealt with in a while.
